- Metro Walls Works on Wegman's Newest Store in Westwood, MA
Check out Wegman's signature clock tower. We built it on the ground then used a crane to raise it to the roof. The 120,000 sq ft grocery store is set to open in Westwood, Massachusetts in 2015. The new location is part of a 230 acre development called University Station.

Metro Walls is well underway on the contruction of a new retail store in Seabrook, NH. Bob's Furniture Store is scheduled to open in 2015. The new retail development called Seabrook Crossing is located on Route 1, just off Interstate 95. The 145,000 sq. ft. retail project is next door to a brand new retail development called Seabrook Commons which the Metro Walls teamed finished earlier this year
- Metro Walls Donates $10,000 to NH Food Bank this Holiday Season
Mike Dion, President of Metro Walls is pleased to announce the recent donation of $10,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank. The donation allowed the NH Food Bank to purchase just before the holidays, nearly 10,000 pounds of food to help support their mission of working to provide nutritious food and resources to the hundreds of thousands of New Hampshire residents in need. In addition to the $10,000 donation Metro Walls recently completed a three-year $30,000 commitment to the NH Food Bank’s capital campaign in which monies were allocated to help purchase a new freezer and help with construction of a new partner agency room. “We are very thankful for Mike Dion’s corporate and personal long-time support of the New Hampshire Food Bank,” said Mel Gosselin, New Hampshire Food Bank, Executive Director. “In addition to his generous financial donations, he and his staff are always volunteering their time. They were here today to unload the truck that carried the food their generous donation purchased and they had an entire team at our first annual Mac-Off. We can’t thank them enough for their commitment to our mission.” According to the NH Food Bank this time of the year many NH residents are faced with paying for food – or paying for heat. There are 1 in 9 men, women and children who are food insecure; meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from. Of this number 44,440 are children under the age of 18. “Hunger is a real issue in New Hampshire,” said Mike Dion, President of Metro Walls. “As a local New Hampshire company, I feel we have a commitment to help our community. The New Hampshire Food Bank is an outstanding organization that is making a difference and assisting countless families across the state. I’m happy to support this organization - their work continues to amaze me.” The New Hampshire Food Bank distributes nutritious food to more than 400 partner agencies who, in turn, distribute to food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more.
- Work Underway at New Assisted Living Project in Massachusetts
Metro Walls is on the jobsite of an 68,000 s/f, 80 unit building in Ashland, Massachusetts. The new independent and assisted living apartment building called the the Residence at Valley Farm will feature a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom apartments. The project is projected to be completed in late summer/early fall of this year.
- Metro Walls Starts Work on Assisted Senior Living Project in MA
Metro Walls started framing work on the Residence at Five Corners in Easton, Massachusetts. The 84,000 f assisted senior and independent living residences will have 84 studio, one and two bedroom apartments, plus a common area, library and computer room. The framing and roofing is nearly complete, next step will be the exterior, interior partition layouts. Construction is moving along. Move in date for the residences is Fall 2015.
- Metro Walls Begins Work on Upscale Extended Stay Hotel in Nashua, NH
Metro Walls is currently on the jobsite of Homewood Suites Gateway Hills, an extended stay hotel in Nashua, N.H. The upscale, all-suite, residential-style hotel is located at 15 Tara Boulevard, Nashua. Metro Walls is responsible for the construction of the structure’s exterior wall framing, interior framing and drywall creating one and two bedroom suites in the 4-story, 105 room hotel. Homewood Suites Gateway Hills is owned by John J. Flatley Company and is expected to open summer 2015. - Metro Walls Team Attends ABC YPG Fundraising Event
The Metro Walls team was happy to participate in the first ABC YPG Fundraising Event to support Building Dreams for Marines (BDFM) which is a local non-profit that provides wounded New Hampshire Marines with upgrades to their home. Metro Walls was one of ten teams that particiapted at the bowling fundraiser. $1,000 was donated to BDFM. Thank you Carl, Bryan, Mark and Sean for representing Metro Walls.
- Metro Walls Starts Renovation Project at Courtyard Marriott in MA
Metro Walls has started the steel framing and sheeting work on a renovation project at theCourtyard Marriott in Waltham, Massachusetts. Metro Walls is responsible for the construction of the structure’s exterior wall framing, interior framing and drywall creating 55 new guest rooms onto the existing hotel. “We are also very pleased to be doing work for Callahan Construction, one of our top customers," said Mike Dion, Metro Walls President. - Rebuilding of Local Home Destroyed by Fire Nearly Complete
Nearly done. The Batchelder family is almost ready to move back into their home after a fire estoryed it earlier this month. The community came together to help rebuild it, including a team from Metro Walls. We are very proud of our employees who see a need in the community and want to help. We were happy to help with donated material to help support this effort. Kudos to Metro Walls, Stuie MacArthur for leading the effort.
- Metro Walls Hired for Assisted Living Project in Easton, MA
We are pleased to announce work is well underway for an 84,000 sq.ft assisted living, independent living and memory care residences in Easton, Massachusetts. Metro Walls is currently framing the roof, exterior walls and interior partition layouts at the Residence at Five Corners Assisted Living. The project when completed will have 84 studios, one and two bedroom apartments plus a common area, library and computer room for the residences. Move in date is expected late 2015. “Things have been moving along quickly,” said Mike Dion, Metro Walls President. “This is a great project to be part of with Congress Building Corp.”
- Metro Walls on the Campus of Plymouth State University
Metro Walls has been contracted by Harvey Construction, Bedford, N.H. to work on Plymouth State University’s (PSU) newest campus building. According to campus officials, the new building called the Active Living, Learn and Wellness (or ALLWell for short) will be the largest classroom on campus at almost 108,000 sq. ft. Metro Walls is responsible for the construction of the exterior wall framing and the hanging and taping of all the drywall, creating a brand new athletic center which when completed will double the size of Plymouth State University’s existing field house. “We are very pleased to work with Harvey Construction on this project for Plymouth State University,” said Mike Dion, President, Metro Walls. “We have had a ong standing relationship with Harvey Construction that has been built on trust, integrity and our commitment to providing outstanding customer service.”
- Local Charity is the Big Winner at Metro Walls Golf Outing
Metro Walls and Exterior Design Inc. (EDI) recently hosted their annual golf outing, and this year the winning foursome received $2,500 from the company to donate to a local charity of their choice. The winning foursome included Ken Lambert, project manager for Exterior Designs. His team unanimously agreed to donate their winnings to Keep Sound Minds, a non-profit organization founded seven years ago by Ken and his wife Danielle. Keep Sound Minds is aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues.
